  • Are you affected by ‘moobs’ and ‘double chins’…?

Posted by admin on December 30th, 2009 and filed under accountancy service | 8 Comments »

High-flying men are queueing up to splash out on expensive plastic surgery in spite of the recession, surgeons say.

The Harley Medical Group says the number of males going under the knife to get rid of double chins and "moobs" has jumped by more than a quarter in the last 12 months.

It said city workers, civil servants and men working in politics, law and accountancy were most likely to use its services.

Operations to reduce flabby breasts – dubbed "moobs", an abbreviation of "man boobs" – are among those most in demand.

Surgeons saw a 61% increase in requests for the operation, which costs more than £4,000.

Mini-facelifts to remove jowls, costing nearly £5,000, saw a 96% increase in popularity.

However, demand for blepharoplasty, an operation to remove eye bags, was down by 16%.

Riccardo Frati, a surgeon with the group, said: "The bad diets, punishing hours and stress that often go hand in hand with these types of professions make men prime candidates for premature ageing.

"We’re not surprised to see a trend emerge for professions most likely to opt for surgery as the side-effects of a punishing job can cause the loss of skin elasticity and encourage build-up of stubborn fat in key areas."

More than 1,500 patients were questioned for the survey.

So much for the credit crunch!

Are these not the same people who are whinging about how the new 50% tax is going to leave them so poor and penniless they’ll have to leave the UK?

      Overpaid, narcissistic twits.

Why not men expect women to conform to their ideal and we are always judged by the way we age . As the old adage says men with grey hair are distinguished women with grey hair are classed as past it .
