Others are focussed on work study and process analysis. here the aim is to understand the fine detail of a business process, maybe to improve it, maybe to computerise it. Still other BAs will be supporting new product development activities. You'll need to read job descriptions carefully to decide what a job really means! But (nearly) a stats degree suggests you could suit this type of work.
