QuickBooks 2009 and the importance of being of service

Posted by admin on March 1st, 2010 and filed under accountancy service | No Comments »

    http://www.nerdenterprises.com/blog
For a better Quality version of all of our tutorials.

QuickBooks 2009 came out back in October 2008. At the time we recorded this web cast going over one of the nice new features about it. We went on to discover many issues with the QuickBooks online banking downloads, however most of these have been corrected now.

Also we discuss the importance of being of service. The most successful businesses with the most successful business owners are the ones who keep this up front in terms of their philosophy. I can tell many stories of terrible service I’ve received but instead of being negative, I will say this – I don’t re-visit those businesses so when it comes to my own business I remember that and always make sure to do everything in my power to be of maximum service. Even as an employee you can think in terms of being of srevice to your co-workers and boss as well as your company at large. I developed this mindset while I was employed and guess what? Thoughts become things I wound up with my own company! By the way this also applies in my personal life!

How do you go about becoming an Accountant? (I’m 16!)?

Posted by admin on February 24th, 2010 and filed under accountancy service | 1 Comment »

Obviously i don’t want to become an accountant at this age (just to make that clear lol)

    I have a few questions about Accountancy….
I’m really interested in the whole idea of the business and finance sector and i think accountancy is an appropriate job choice for the future…

However, as i’m only 16 i’ve just picked my A Levels to study this september and i’ve chosen:
IFS (Institue of Financial Services Qualification), Double Applied Business, History & Physcology

However, my boyfriend wants to be accoutnant also and has been doing an AAT course at college (he is 17)
How would i go about doing all these Accounting qualifications if i’m going to be in full time education next year at sixth form

Also how do you get into accounting? I’m not sure if i want to go to university yet and if you’re going to do accounting at uni i’m sure you need Maths A Level, and i’m not amazing at maths (accounting uses calcultors alot of the time which is useful for me)

I’m sorry it’s long, but can anyone give me some advice into getting into accounting because as i’m getting older i need to think about my job choices!

1)be good at math as much as u can coz most of the accountant should be good at math
    2) go to university and take accounting major
3)take the CPA ===>Certified Public Accountant

    Accountancy question #2?

Posted by admin on February 7th, 2010 and filed under accountancy service | 3 Comments »

What would "1,500 Basic accounting text books" be under?

Direct Production Materials (including paper, card, ink)

Employee Costs(comprising wages and salaries, including employer NIC)

Expenses(including services such as accountancy and advertising, and indirect materials such as lubricants)
The companies a printing company, manufacturing a wide range of printed materia to customer orders.
Someone is purchasing 1500 Basic accountancy text books from the business.

Again, it depends on the nature of the business. It is likely to be an overhead and would come under expenses. However, if they are in the business of buying and selling accountancy text books, it would come under stock.
